Line Dancing Event Calendar Update

For the past few months I have been reworking the line dancing calendar on this website. As many of line dancing in Ventura County include special events and different details, I wanted to create an easier way to keep track while also sharing them on this website.

The latest calendar page now contains tags and quick location info. By clicking on them, any event can be viewed with directions or links to more event info. Filters allow for finding more local events and types of events. With tags and more, I hope this helps anyone to find events!

Coastal Country Sundays - New Special Ventura Line Dancing Events

Ventura Line Dancing has announced Coastal Country Sundays line dancing in Ventura at the Crowne Plaza! It will be an all ages and free event from 5-9pm every two Sundays, starting February 1st (currently planned through March).

Thousand Oaks Venue Updates for December 2025

Following recent updates via Instagram, a few Thousand Oaks venues will be changing schedules with their line dancing next month. Dave & Busters will not be having line dancing nights until January 8th for the holidays. Oaks Local will be closed for renovations. Mikey's will also not be hosting a line dancing event for December.

If you are looking to stay local to Thousand Oaks with line dancing, I would recommend trying the Conejo Masonic Lodge off of T.O. Boulevard. The site should have more special events with the calendar and other venues should still be continuing, TBD

New Ventura Line Dance Venue Opening - Barrelhouse 101

For those who enjoy line dancing in Ventura, a new venue will be starting today, November 21st at Barrelhouse 101!

The line dancing be hosted every other week on Fridays starting from 7pm to 10pm, with live music at 6pm by Kyle Brown.

Important Canyon Club Update with Upcoming October Line Dancing Events

For those who have not seen or heard yet, The Canyon Club will not be having their country line dancing nights on Wednesday, October 1st and October 8th. However, there will be a Canyon Club event on Saturday, October 11th starting at 6pm.

With October coming up, there are a lot of regular and special events for line dancing. Borderline Bar and Ventucky Stompters will be hosting many events this month, along with others.

Upcoming Line Dancing Event in Ventura - Red, White & Bruised Ego's

For those looking to upcoming weekend line dancing in Ventura, check out Orozco's De Ventura on Saturday, September 27th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

There will be line dance lessons and live country music by Kyle Brown, followed by comedy with multiple comedians after until 9:00pm.

Tickets are on sale so buy now!

PS: Be sure to say Logan at the door for line dancing, as it helps them out!

New Santa Barbara Line Dancing Group, SB Line Dancing

For those of you who enjoy line dancing in Santa Barbara, be sure to check out this new line dancing group called SB Line Dancing. As a small passionate group looking to expand, they host events about once a week and DJ throughout the night (check Instagram for exact schedule).

Ventura County Line Dancing Calendar Added + Latest Site Plans

As part of the site updates, I've added a line dancing calendar for many upcoming events around Ventura County. Feel free to check it out here or under the guides page, hope it helps others find places to go in an easier way now. I have also added emojis to the guides page to sort through each easier.

Second, I removed MB2 Entertainment Santa Clarita from the venues as they are unfortunately no longer renting out the space for line dancing nights. I plan keep track of other venues and adjust the site as needed.

Lastly, for future updates to the site, they will most likely be more design + simplifying features focused for now. I have been finding icons and emojis to help readability, and being able to have the website be not overwhelming as important. All for now, hope you enjoy line dancing around Ventura County easier now!

Gibson's Neighborhood Bar, Now Open As New Line Dancing Venue

As posted on Instagram, Gibson's Neighborhood Bar in Ventura now hosts line dancing every other Wednesday as of August 13th, 2025. I missed the article post before the first event (will try my best to post sooner for future events), however there should be more events. Be sure to check it out as it has live music and DJ line dancing with song requests.

Line Dance Directory Guide Added

As part of the guides section, I've added a line dance directory page as of yesterday. On the page, there are video lessons, demos and stepsheets with an autocomplete feature. Hoping this helps those looking to learn line dances in a simple and quick way.

More Line Dancing Venues Added Late July 2025

Similar to the beginning of this month, I've added more older live country styled venues. Vaquero Y Mar in Ventura and Strey Cellars in Oxnard happen once a month and have live country artists. Both are now included with the site and should be going on for some time.

Both seem to have older crowds and are live, so maybe not the latest pop line dances but old and new country ones (with lessons geared towards those). For example, A Bar Song, Goin' Hamm, and Tush Push are a few of the line dance lessons at Strey's Cellars. I plan to update then both if things change or I find more info on them.

More Line Dancing Venues Added July 2025

As I've been looking online more, I've added a few venues to the site. For existing venues, Mikey's Restaurant and Magnavino Cellars have both been doing monthly line dancing as of this year.

Magnavino may be an older crowd with live music, so different than your average line dancing venue being unique.

Aviator Nation Dreamland in Malibu should be opening in August ran by Borderline Bar (will update as announcements are made). It's unclear whether it will be weekly but it's possible. That's it for now, hope this helps you to line dance even more :)

New Weekly Line Dancing by Starting July 11th

As posted by @mb2entertainmentscv on an Instagram post yesterday, MB2 Entertainment Santa Clarita announced that they will be having weekly line dancing by Tina Michelle & The Rhinestone Cowgirls starting July 11th, titled, "BOOTS & BEATS ON THE PATIO". If you are ever nearby or want a new place to line dance, look into giving it a try!

New Weekly Line Dancing Venue with Candy Sherwin Starting July 10th

As posted by Candy Sherwin on Instagram earlier today, a new line dancing venue will be opening at the Masonic Lodge 2786 Crescent Way in Thousand Oaks. If you are a fan of line dancing or two stepping, be sure to check it out!
